Class Description

New in 2019! This class is designed for those with young children (0-5 years) at home, in the classroom, or otherwise underfoot. Build your repertoire of engaging kids songs and learn a musical instrument to share with them. No experience necessary, but you will need a ukulele to get started. We welcome experienced players, as well, and will provide additional materials for extra practice.

Note: The genesis of this class arose from my work as a Music Together teacher. As a result, the curriculum is inspired by songs included in the MT curriculum and designed for those familiar with its material. That said, all are welcome — the songs we will learn are very accessible and the skils we learn transferable to your favorite songs!

Avery Hill has been teaching music in Portland, Oregon, since 2013. She founded Song by Song™ in 2016 in order to teach ukulele exclusively. She believes that everyone can make music, probably better than they think they can. If you have any questions or concerns about this class, contact her directly: avery@learnsongbysong.com
